Federal Research and Grant Funds that University of Wisconsin Faculty and Staff bring to Wisconsin

As the state’s contribution to the University of Wisconsin dwindles, faculty and staff of the institution are strongly encouraged to go beyond instruction, to do work that will bring funds into the university. With a total of almost one billion dollars coming into the UW in federal and non-federal extramural support, the university could truly not function without the contributions of its faculty and staff who go beyond the required teaching to spend countless hours writing grants and doing research to bring funds into their respective departments.
